Andy Butler: Emerald City Tribune

 

For his project, Andy turned the iconic story of The Wizard of Oz into a video game called Emerald City Tribune. The player is a reporter in the Emerald City who has to make decisions about how to represent events such as the death of the Wicked Witch of the East. The point, as one discovers by moving through the game, is to conflate the easy notions of good and evil as presented in L. Frank Baum’s original text.
