Instructional Design

Over my decades of experience in education, I’ve found that true learning is about so much more than just the nuts and bolts. It’s about creating a space where people feel connected, safe, and valued so that they can contribute to the project of evolving everyone’s knowledge and skills.

That’s what I create in my classes—and I can help you create it, too. In your classroom, your life, your company, and in every interaction you have, there is the potential to spark the joy of curiosity, compassion, and kindness.

As Managing Editor at Smarthistory.org, I collaborate with an exceptional team of experts and scholars to produce digital educational content for learners of various levels (from high school through continuing education) around the globe. I have also worked with Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Medici Art, and Art History Teaching Resources to produce digital educational content.

I have edited over 100 videos for Smarthistory, with additional videos published weekly.

Sample syllabi and websites from my courses can be found on the teaching page.
